EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Tuesday announced the signing of tight end Giovanni Ricci and the release of outside linebacker Matt Harmon.
Ricci (pronounced REE-chee) originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers following the 2020 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan. He appeared in 36 games, including four starts, and recorded nine receptions for 102 yards in three seasons (2021-23) after spending his rookie season on the Panthers practice squad in 2020.
Following four years in Carolina, Ricci spent time with the Cleveland Browns during the 2024 offseason, and he was most recently with the New England Patriots from February to April 2025.
Harmon participated in Minnesota's rookie camp on a tryout basis last month and signed.
The Vikings are scheduled to open their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.
