EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings (5-0) came back from their Week 6 bye Monday and announced guard Dalton Risner is returning to practice.
The announcement was made before the team hit the practice fields Monday afternoon and means there will be a 21-day window to evaluate Risner.
The veteran first joined Minnesota during the 2023 season and started 11 of 15 games played. Risner re-signed with the Vikings this spring but suffered a back injury during training camp. He was placed on Injured Reserve-Designated to Return when the Vikings made their roster reductions in August, requiring him to miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season.

Risner has started 73 of 77 games in the NFL since his selection by Denver in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
He is eligible to return to the 53-man roster at any point during the 21-day window.
