The **#MoreThanWords campaign** is well under way in raising funds for the **Mike Zimmer Foundation**, and now the ante is being upped … by Coach Zimmer himself.
Vikings fans will have a unique opportunity to personally meet Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer while helping to support his foundation.
FanHQ owner Shaun Hagglund is joining with the #MoreThanWords program to host an autograph signing with Zimmer on July 21 from 7-8 p.m. (CST) at the FanHQ store in Eden Prairie Center. Only 100 tickets will be available for the exclusive event, so Hagglund is encouraging Vikings to purchase tickets – which go on sale today – ahead of time.
Fans can choose from a number of **different ticket options**, ranging from $29 for an autograph from Zimmer to a $129 VIP ticket that will include one autograph, a posed photo, limited-edition T-Shirt and private meet-and-greet at the start of the session. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mike Zimmer Foundation through the fundraiser.
"I'm incredibly happy that FanHQ could partner with #MoreThanWords and Coach Zimmer in order to raise money and awareness for a great cause like the Mike Zimmer Foundation," Hagglund said. "I'm looking forward to a great event and lots of fun with Vikings fans."
MoreThanWords, an annual effort started by Vikings Territory founder Adam Warwas, has raised more than $3,500 for the Mike Zimmer Foundation since this year's campaign kicked off on June 1.
The Vikings blogging community has established a $10,000 goal, and a number of incentives will appeal to fans to help reach that benchmark. In addition to a couple of items to be gifted by participating sites, the Mike Zimmer Foundation is providing a number of items to be given away, including an autographed Adrian Peterson jersey, a game ball signed by Anthony Barr and two club-level tickets to the Nov. 20 game against Arizona at U.S. Bank Stadium.
An individual will be entered in the drawing after making a minimum donation of $10; for each additional $10 donation, his or her name will be placed in the pool another time. Staff members of participating sites will not be eligible to win.
