Chad Greenway Repeats as Vikings Community Man of the Year

Chad Greenway has been selected as the Vikings Community Man of the Year for a second straight season and third time in his 10-year career.

The linebacker will be evaluated with players from all other 31 teams for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, which is presented annually before each Super Bowl.

"It means a lot. So many teammates do great things," Greenway said. "There's so many teammates that come to my events. There's guys that have their own stuff going on, so I'm certainly proud to win it. All my peers do such great community work as well.

"It says a lot about the amount of work my wife Jenni and I put into our [Lead The Way Foundation]," Greenway added. "It's certainly not about winning awards. It's about the amount of people you can interact with and make a difference in, and that's something we've continued to try to push as we've gone on.

Greenway also was named Vikings Community Man of the Year in 2011.
