EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings (10-2) on Saturday activated cornerback Cameron Dantzler, Sr., from Injured Reserve ahead of facing the Lions (5-7) at noon (CT) Sunday in Detroit.

Dantzler has been out of the lineup since suffering an ankle injury at Washington in Week 9. He started the first eight games of Minnesota's season, totaling 45 tackles, two tackles for loss and four passes defended.

The third-year pro's most notable play so far was forcing a fumble and taking it directly from former teammate Ihmir Smith-Marsette to help the Vikings close out the Bears in Week 5.

Dantzler returned to practice this week.

The Vikings also announced they have placed defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard on Injured Reserve because of a biceps injury.

Bullard has started seven of 11 games for Minnesota this season, totaling 23 tackles, including five for losses and one quarterback hit.

Minnesota also utilized standard elevations for cornerback Tay Gowan and safety Myles Dorn.

Gowan appeared on special teams against Dallas and New England. Dorn appeared on special teams against Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago and Miami this season.
