Andrew Van Ginkel made two trips to the end zone in 2024, and he's just made his first career landing in an "NFL Top 100" list.

The Vikings outside linebacker was announced at No. 88 in the "NFL Top 100 Players of 2025" by the league on X Tuesday. He joins teammate Aaron Jones, Sr., who was listed at 98 last week. Launched in 2011, "NFL Top 100" is an ordering of the league's top players by their peers.

Van Ginkel absolutely shined in his first season with the Vikings. He started all 17 games, recording career highs of 79 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. The Iowa native also tallied 19 QB hits for the third time in his six NFL seasons (was with Dolphins from 2019-23).

But he did even more damage to quarterbacks Daniel Jones in Week 1 and Aaron Rodgers in Week 5.

Van Ginkel made an impressive snag at the New York Giants in the third quarter of his Vikings debut. After securing the screen pass, he simply trotted 10 yards for what proved to be the final score of the day in a 28-6 victory.

The next pick six was even sweeter and speedier.

Van Ginkel nabbed an offering from Rodgers, dropping right back to the spot the veteran wanted to go with the football for an in-cutting route. Van Ginkel broke one tackle and hit full stride down the sideline for a 63-yard return to put Minnesota up by 10 in the first quarter of an eventual 23-17 victory at London.

Van Ginkel's varied ways of changing games garnered his first career Pro Bowl selection, as well as being named to the All-Pro Second Team by The Associated Press.

This offseason, Van Ginkel inked a contract extension, adding another year through the 2026 season. He is grateful to be able to play home games in front of so many friends and family.
