Adrian Peterson Nominated for FedEx Ground Player of the Week

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. —Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is a nominee for the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for Week 9, the NFL announced today.

Peterson racked up 125 yards rushing on 29 carries and scored on a 6-yard touchdown in the Vikings 21-18 overtime victory over the Rams on Sunday. Peterson gained 21 of the Vikings 29 yards in the extra period to position Blair Walsh for a walk-off 40-yard field goal.

It was the fourth game this season in which Peterson has rushed for 100 or more yards and second in a row. Joining Peterson on the "Ground" side of the ballot are Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams and Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount.

The "Air" ballot has Titans QB Marcus Mariota, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger and Saints QB Drew Brees.

Fans have the chance to weigh in and vote for the one quarterback and the one running back they feel had this week's most epic Air & Ground performances. Voting is open until 2 p.m. (CT) Thursday at **NFL.com/FedEx**.
