5 Things to Know About New Vikings Punter Ryan Quigley

The Vikings announced Monday that the club signed punter Ryan Quigley.

The New Jersey native is 27 years old and has played in 51 career games.

Here are five things to know about Quigley:

1. Not his first rodeo

An undrafted free agent out of Boston College, Quigley is entering his fifth professional season. He has played for the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.

2. Special teams stats

3. More than a punter

Quigley has howed off his athleticism in previous years. He completed a 38-yard pass in 2014 on his only career attempt, and then kicked four extra points with the Jets in 2015.

4. Record setter

Quigley enjoyed a solid career at Boston College and is the school's all-time leader in punt attempts with 283. He racked up 11,418 total punting yards over his four-year career with the Eagles.

5. Three-sport star
