Vikings Sign TE James O'Shaughnessy to Practice Squad

James O'Shaughnessy signs to the Vikings practice squad after being released by the Chicago Bears on Aug. 30, 2022. O'Shaughnessy was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round (No. 173 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, and has spent time with the New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears.

The former Illinois State Redbird has played in 80 regular season games, making 40 starts, and has tallied 112 catches for 1,108 yards and three touchdowns. He has also played in four postseason games, one with Kansas City and three with Jacksonville, making two starts, and has recorded two receptions for 23 yards.
