Adam Thielen

• Hosted a day-long radiothon fundraiser on Vikings flagship station KFAN for COVID-19 relief in April 2020. The event raised more than $280,000 during a 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. marathon featuring teammates and celebrity guests calling in to support the cause. 

• Represented Minnesota at the 2017 and 2018 Pro Bowl and earned 2nd-Team Associated Press All-Pro in 2017.

• In 2017-18, became the 1st Viking to record consecutive seasons of 1,000+ receiving yards since Randy Moss did so for 6 consecutive seasons (1998-2003).

• Together with Caitlin launched the Thielen Foundation in September of 2018, which aims to create programs that serve, educate and inspire individuals to reach their full potential.

• Joins C.J. Ham (Duluth), Ryan Connelly (Eden Prairie) and Shane Zylstra (New London-Spicer) as Minnesotans on the Vikings roster in 2021.

• Hosts youth football camps in the Twin Cities and his hometown of Detroit Lakes.

• Opened a gym, ETS Elite Thielen, during the 2016 offseason in Lakeville, Minnesota, just south of the Twin Cities and has expanded to locations around the state, including Mankato and Rochester. 

• Avid golfer, spends time golfing in Arizona and Florida and has taken part in Pro Am events regularly, including the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe.

• Turned in the best game of his career at Green Bay (12/24/16) with 12 receptions for 202 yards and 2 TDs, the only Viking with 12+ receptions against the Packers. The 202 yards are tied for the 3rd-most by a Viking in a game in team history.

• Continued to develop throughout 2013 season and spent all 16 weeks on Vikings practice squad.

• Earned invitation to continue with team following 2013 Vikings rookie camp and earned rookie free agent contract.

• Ranks 5th-best for Vikings receiving TDs in a season with 14, the 3rd-best mark in the NFL for the year. 

• Hauled in career-best 14th TD of the season on Christmas Day at New Orleans (12/25). 

• Returned to action vs. Jacksonville (12/6) and caught 12th TD of the season in an OT win. 

• Placed on COVID-19 list during week vs. Carolina (11/29) and missed 1st game of the season. 

• Had 2nd straight 2-TD day vs. Dallas (11/22), catching 8 passes for 123 yards and 2 TDs and had season-long 51-yarder. 

• Had team-high 2 TD catches at Chicago (11/16) in win on Monday Night Football. 

• Led team with 9 receptions and 2 TDs at Seattle (10/11) on Sunday Night Football.

• Had team-high 6 catches, 110 yards and 2 TDs in season-opener vs. Green Bay (9/13) and scored his 2nd career 2-point conversion on a pass from Kirk Cousins. Team set a club record with 3 successful 2-point conversions in the game (Dalvin Cook, 2 rushing and Thielen 1 receiving).  

2019: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Made 10 starts in 10 game appearances during the 2019 season, finishing with 30 receptions for 418 yards and 6 TDs. Also rushed 4 times for 6 yards and 1 TD.

• Caught the Vikings 1st TD of the 2019 season against Atlanta in Week 1 (9/8).

• Led team with 5 receptions for 75 yards at Green Bay (9/15).

• Recorded his 2nd career multi-score game vs. Oakland (9/22), catching a season-long 35-yard TD pass to cap the opening drive and scoring on a 1-yard rush in the 2nd quarter, the 1st rushing TD of his career.

• Started his 50th career game at Chicago (9/29).

• Caught 7 passes for 130 yards and 2 TDs at the NY Giants (10/6), his 2nd career game with multiple receiving TDs and 17th career game with 100+ receiving yards.

2018: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Started all 16 games in 2018, setting new career highs in receptions (113), receiving yards (1,373) and receiving TDs (9) and earning his 2nd consecutive Pro Bowl invitation.

• Thielen's 113 receptions were the 3rd-highest single season total in franchise history, while his 1,373 receiving yards ranked 4th.

• Tallied 6 receptions for 102 yards against San Francisco (9/9).

• Matched his career high of 12 receptions, going for 131 yards and 1 TD at Green Bay (9/16). His acrobatic TD grab completed a 4th-quarter comeback.

• Posted his 3rd straight game with at least 100 receiving yards by catching a career-high 14 passes for 105 yards vs. Buffalo (9/23), both team-highs.

• Caught 8 balls for 135 yards and 1 TD at LA Rams (9/27), pushing his season yardage total to 473 and surpassing Randy Moss to set the franchise record for most receiving yards in the first 4 games of a season.

• Posted 7 receptions for 116 yards and 1 TD at Philadelphia (10/7), becoming the 1st player in NFL history to post 5 consecutive games of 100+ receiving yards to start a season. Set a new franchise record for most receiving yards through the first 5 games of the season (589). Also fair-caught a punt and recovered an onside kick in the 4th quarter to seal the win.

• Recorded his 6th consecutive game of 100+ receiving yards by catching 11 passes for 123 yards and 1 TD vs. Arizona (10/14).

• With 9 receptions for 110 yards and 1 TD at NY Giants (10/21), became the 1st player in NFL history (Super Bowl Era) to record 7 straight games of 100+ receiving yards to start a season. Thielen's 67 receptions and 822 yards through 7 games to start a season were also a franchise record. 

• By catching 7 passes for 103 yards and 1 TD vs. New Orleans (10/29), became the 1st player in NFL history to record 8 consecutive games of 100+ receiving yards to start a season and joined Calvin Johnson as the only players in league history to record 8 consecutive games of 100+ receiving yards at any point in a season. Thielen's TD marked the 5th consecutive game in which he had scored, a new career-long scoring streak. The WR also added 1 rush for 15 yards, the 2nd longest carry of his career.

• Saw his 8-game streak of 100+ receiving yards come to an end vs. Detroit (11/4), finishing with 4 catches for 22 yards, 1 TD and 1 rush for 5 yards. Extended his scoring streak to a career-best 6 consecutive games.

• Passed the 1,000-yard mark for the 2nd consecutive season with 7 receptions for 66 yards at Chicago (11/18), becoming the 1st Viking since Randy Moss (1998-2003) with 1,000+ receiving yards in consecutive seasons. Tied Moss (2003) as the fastest Vikings to reach 1,000 yards in a season, needing only 10 games to do so.

• Recorded 8 receptions for 125 yards and 1 TD vs. Green Bay (11/25), becoming the first Viking with 9 games of 100+ receiving yards in a single season.

• Caught his 9th TD of the season at New England (12/2), setting a new career high for TDs in a season and becoming the first Vikings WR to score 9 TDs since Randy Moss scored 13 in 2004.

2017: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Finished with career-highs in receptions (91), yards (1,276) and games started (16), finishing with the 9th-most yards in team history and 7th-most receptions to earn All-Pro honors.

• Turned in a career-game to start off the season vs. New Orleans (9/11) with 9 catches for 157 yards, the 2nd-most receiving yards by a Vikings WR in a season-opening game and the 3rd most by a Vikings WR on Monday Night Football.

• Led the Vikings with 5 receptions at Pittsburgh (9/17) totaling 44 yards. His 5 receptions pushed him over the 100-reception mark for his career.

• Led the team with 9 catches for 96 yards vs. Green Bay (10/15).

• Caught 5 passes for 41 yards vs. Baltimore (10/22), becoming the only player in the NFL to have at least 5 catches in each of the 1st 7 weeks.

• Continued his streak of at least 5 receptions in each game of 2017, hauling in 5 for 98 yards and his 1st TD of the season to earn "Man of the Match" honors vs. Cleveland (10/29) at Twickenham Stadium in London, England, as a part of the NFL's International Series.

• Came out of the bye week firing on all cylinders, racking up 166 yards on 8 catches at Washington (11/12) with his 2nd TD in as many games, extending his streak of at least 5 catches to 9 games, tied for tops in the NFL, while also collecting his 5th game with over 100 receiving yards in his career.

• Posted his 3rd 100-yard performance of the season, tying a single-season career-high and grabbed a TD in a 3rd consecutive game, a new career-high, finishing the day vs. LA Rams (11/19) with 6 catches for 123 yards and a TD.

• Recorded his 4th 100-yard performance of the season, hauling in 6 catches for 105 yards and a 52-yard TD at Carolina (12/10).

• Caught 3 passes for 30 yards vs. Cincinnati (12/17) as the Vikings clinched the NFC North title.

• Grabbed 6 catches for 61 yards vs. Chicago (12/31) to finish the regular season with 91 catches for 1,276 yards, joining Rod Smith and Wes Welker as the only undrafted players to record a season with at least 90 catches and 1,200 yards.

• Caught 6 passes for 74 yards in his first career playoff start, vs. New Orleans (1/14/18) in the Divisional Round, as the Vikings beat the Saints on a 61-yard TD as time expired.

2016: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Turned in a banner year with career-highs in receptions (69), receiving yards (967) and TDs (5) as he quickly developed a rapport with new Vikings QB Sam Bradford.

• His 967 receiving yards led the team, and his 3 100-yard receiving games tied with Stefon Diggs for the team lead.

• Tied for the team lead with 2 special teams tackles and caught 4 passes for 54 yards at Tennessee (9/11).

• Started and set new career bests in receptions (7) and receiving yards (127), as well as scoring his 3rd career receiving TD vs Houston (10/9).

• Had then-career-high with 8 catches at Detroit (11/24).

• Registered the 2nd 100-yard receiving game of his career with 101 yards on 4 catches at Jacksonville (12/11) as well as moving over the 1,000 receiving yards mark for his career.

• Turned in the best game of his young career at Green Bay (12/24) with 12 receptions for 202 yards and 2 TDs, the 3rd Viking to haul in 200+ yards and the first Viking with 12+ receptions against the Packers.

2015: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Was a special teams leader and played in every phase.

• Honored as Vikings Special Teams Player of the Year.

• Ranked tied for 2nd in special teams tackles with 10.

• Hauled in career-high 6 passes for 70 yards at eventual Super Bowl champions Denver (10/4).

• Had season-long 30-yard catch at Detroit (10/25).

• Notched 1st career rushing attempts, posting best offensive day in regular-season finale at Green Bay (1/3/16) when the Vikings clinched NFC North title at Lambeau. Ran for 67 yards on 2 carries, with a long of 41 on a fake punt, at Green Bay and added a 16-yard catch, ranking tied for 2nd in Vikings history for rushing yards in a game by a WR with the effort.

2014: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Started season on 53-man roster out of preseason.

• A special teams ace, finished tied for 2nd in special teams tackles, totaling 12 on the season.

• Made NFL debut at St. Louis (9/7).

• 1st NFL reception came at Green Bay (10/2), led the team in receiving that game, finishing with 4 receptions for 57 yards.

• Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt against Carolina (11/30) and returning it 30 yards to paydirt, at the time was the longest blocked punt returned for a TD in team history, a record that was broken in the same game by DE Everson Griffen.

• Had 1st NFL receiving TD in Week 17 vs. Chicago (12/28), a 44-yard strike from QB Teddy Bridgewater

2013: MINNESOTA VIKINGS

• Earned practice squad position throughout entire season.

• Saw preseason action with Vikings at WR and on special teams.

• Was signed on 5/6 to rookie free agent contract following Vikings rookie camp when unsigned rookies are invited to practice with draft choices and rookie free agent signings to showcase their ability.

• Released on 8/31 and signed on 9/1 to the Vikings practice squad for the remainder of the season.

COLLEGE

• Started 37 of his 46 games at Minnesota State, Mankato.

• Ended college career ranked #2 in school history in receptions (198), 3rd in receiving yards (2,802), 3rd in receiving TDs (20), 3rd in punt return yards (582) and 3rd in punt returns (57).

• Had 74 receptions for 1,176 yards and 8 TDs as a senior.

• Named 1st-Team All-Northern Sun Conference South Division as a senior and 2nd-Team as a junior.

• Helped lead the Mavericks to a 13-1 record and a national semifinal berth as a senior.

• 7th MSU Alumni to play in the NFL, joining Bob Bruer (1979-80 with San Francisco; 1980-83 with Minnesota) and Tywan Mitchell (2000-01 with Arizona) as the only 3 former Mavericks to play in a non-lockout NFL regular season.

PREP

• 4-sport standout at Detroit Lakes High in Northern Minnesota, competing in football, basketball, golf and baseball.
