Klint Kubiak

Klint Kubiak returns to the Vikings in 2020 as the club's QBs coach for the second season after previously working 2 seasons as Minnesota's quality control/assistant wide receivers coach from 2013-14. Kubiak spent the previous 3 seasons as the offensive assistant/QBs coach for the Denver Broncos. A 10-year coaching veteran, Kubiak has worked 6 seasons in the NFL and 4 in the college ranks following his playing career at Colorado State University.

Under Kubiak's guidance in 2019, QB Kirk Cousins posted 3,602 passing yards and threw 26 touchdowns. Kubiak helped Cousins to the best season of his career with a 107.4 passer rating, 26-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio and guided the club to a 10-5 mark in the regular season as the starter, the most wins as a starter of his career. Cousins' 107.4 passer rating is the 2nd-best in a season in Vikings history and his mark of 103.0 for the combined 2018-19 seasons is the best by a Vikings quarterback for a career. Cousins went from being sacked 40 times in 2018 to 28 in 2019, the eighth-fewest in the NFL for quarterbacks with 400+ attempts. Cousins had 10 games on the season when he was sacked none or one time and 10 games when he did not throw an interception. With only a career-low six interceptions on the season, Cousins tied for the fifth-lowest in the NFL in 2019.
