Gary Kubiak

Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach

Gary Kubiak will enter his 2nd season with the Vikings in 2020 as the Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach after holding the role of Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Advisor in 2019. Kubiak brings 29 years of coaching experience to the Vikings staff, including 10 as an NFL head coach. Appearing in 9 conference championship games and 7 Super Bowls as a player or coach, Kubiak has been part of 4 World Championship staffs during his career, most recently as the Head Coach of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

Kubiak helped the 2019 Vikings offense renew an emphasis on the running game. As a team, the Vikings climbed from 30th in the NFL in rushing offense to 6th from 2018 to 2019. Led by running back Dalvin Cook, who earned his first Pro Bowl berth, rushed for his first 1,000-yard season on the ground after a career-best 615 rushing yards and 40 receptions in 2018, nearly doubling his best rushing yardage and improving to 53 receptions in 2019.
