Derik Keyes

Assistant Director of Player Performance

Derik Keyes enters his 5th season with the Vikings strength and conditioning staff in 2022. Prior to assuming his current position, Keyes held the same post with the Cleveland Browns from 2013-16 and Houston Texans in 2012.

During his time in Cleveland, Keyes worked directly with WRs and DBs, and while in Houston, he helped supervise weight training and focused on speed and agility development of players on injured reserve. Keyes served under the 2012 NFL Strength Coach of the Year, Cedric Smith, and helped the Texans claim an AFC South title in his lone season with the club.

In 2011, Keyes returned to his alma mater, Louisiana-Lafayette, where he worked as the director of strength and conditioning for men's and women's track and field, specifically sprinters and jumpers. While with the Ragin' Cajuns, Keyes also served as the director of football freshman development and assisted with Olympic sports.
