Zimmer Receives A Unique Thank You Message

The Vikings often welcome special visitors to Winter Park during the course of the week to watch practice. One of those recent guests was Alex Loehlein, an 8-year-old boy who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle wasting disease.

Alex was able to come to Winter Park, thanks to the HopeKids organization, to watch practice, meet players and get autographs on his vintage Vikings helmet.

In the days after his visit, Alex made sure to send a thank you card to Head Coach Mike Zimmer after his visit, which Zimmer read to the media in advance of his Friday press conference. Below is a picture of the note, as well as an image of Alex during his visit.
