Xavier Rhodes Among Vikings Inactives

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vikings announced Sunday morning that the following players will be inactive for Minnesota's season-opening game at Tennessee:

Cornerback Xavier Rhodes, receiver Jarius Wright, linebackers Kentrell Brothers and Edmond Robinson, center Nick Easton, tackle Jeremiah Sirles and tight end MyCole Pruitt.

The Vikings are set to kick off the 2016 season against the Titans at noon (CT) Sunday.

Trae Waynes will start in place of Rhodes. It will be Waynes' second career start. The Vikings first-round pick in 2015 started at Arizona last season when the Vikings needed to move Terence Newman to fill voids created by multiple injuries at the safety position.

The Titans announced Sunday morning the following players will be inactive:

Tight end Jace Amaro, guard Josh Kline, cornerback LeShaun Sims, quarterback Alex Tanney, guard Sebastian Tretola, linebacker Aaron Wallace, wide receiver Kendall Wright.
