Vikings Sign Free Agent S Chris Crocker

On Monday the Vikings announced that the club has signed free agent S Chris Crocker.

Crocker joins the Vikings after spending the last six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. During his time in Cincinnati, Crocker played under Head Coach Mike Zimmer, who served as the Bengals defensive coordinator. Crocker also played under Zimmer in Atlanta during the 2007 season. In 12 games in 2013 he recorded 37 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 7 passes defenses and 2 interceptions, returning one interception for a touchdown. In 151 career games, he has notched 554 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 60 passes defensed and 15 interceptions. He was drafted by Cleveland in the third round (#84 overall) in 2003 before stints with Atlanta and Miami.

To make room for Crocker, the club has released DE Rakim Cox.
