The Vikings have signed rookie WR Chad Beebe to the 53-man roster in advance of Sunday's game vs. the Lions.
To make room on the roster, the Vikings waived T Storm Norton.
Prior to being elevated to the 53-man roster, Beebe (5-10, 183) spent the first eight weeks of the season on the team’s practice squad after being released during final cuts (9/2/18). The undrafted free agent from Northern Illinois originally signed with Minnesota (5/7/18) after participating in the team’s rookie minicamp. Beebe, who caught nine passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns during the preseason, spent the entire 2018 offseason and training camp with the Vikings. The Aurora, Ill. native played in 44 games for the Huskies and finished his career ranking in the Top-10 in program history in punt returns (48) and punt return yards (329). Beebe is the son of former NFL player, Don Beebe, who played nine seasons for the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.
