Transcript: Zimmer Addressed the Media on Saturday

Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer

Tremendous opportunity for us to go on the road and play one of the better teams in our conference. They've got an outstanding defense, really stout up front. (Jadeveon) Clowney is a heck of a player. (Jarran) Reed is, also. Offensively, Russell Wilson is a handful, maybe one of the best players in the league. (Chris) Carson runs the ball hard. Big offensive line, so we're going to have to go out there and play really well, make less mistakes than they do and hopefully come back with a win.

Q: You seem to have pretty good health heading into December. Can you talk about that?

A: Yeah, guys have been taking care of their bodies pretty well. I think the bye came at a good time for us, get a little rested up and ready to go.

Q: What is the impact on Russell Wilson when they have their running game going?

A: The play actions. He's really good at the boots and the play actions and getting the ball vertically down the field. (Tyler) Lockett is a tremendous receiver, (DK) Metcalf. I think it's just the way, the style that they want to play. I talked to Pete (Carroll), I think it was my first year, and we were running back pretty good then, play actions. I said, "Yeah, we're trying to be like you."

Q: How would you access what Dan Bailey has done on special teams?

A: I think he's playing a really nice job. I think Nate (Kaeding) has done a good job with him, helping him. I think the operation, (Britton) Colquitt has been really solid holding. I think that helps as well, and he's kicking the ball good.

Q: Do you have a favorite Ochocinco (Chad Johnson) moment?

A: My favorite Ochocinco (Chad Johnson) moment.

Chad Johnson: Yes, sir?

Mike Zimmer: He's asking me my favorite Ochocinco moment.

Chad Johnson: What is it?

Mike Zimmer: I don't know. I'm trying to think of one. There were so many of them.

Chad Johnson: There's some good ones.

Mike Zimmer: Yeah, there's some good ones. He always kept it loose over there. He had a hard time beating our DBs though.

Chad Johnson: Me? I I'm always open. I'm open now.

Mike Zimmer: I know.

Chad Johnson: Good to see you, Coach.

Mike Zimmer: Good to see you, too.
