Runs by Peterson, McKinnon Crack NFLN Top 10

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — A pair of Vikings running backs cracked the NFL Network's list of Top 10 runs this season.

Jerick McKinnon had the No. 10 run on the list, which was his 68-yard touchdown scamper on Sunday Night Football in Week 16 against the Giants.

The second-year running back showed incredible patience by waiting behind a cluster of bodies before exploding through the left side of the line.

McKinnon then outran the New York defense for a score that put the Vikings up by 39 points. Minnesota would clinch a playoff spot with the 49-17 win as McKinnon found the end zone twice.

Peterson, the 2015 NFL rushing champion, had the No. 4 run on the list.

Adrian Peterson's 43-yard touchdown run against the Chargers in Week 3 showed off a blend of strength, power and speed.

Peterson took the handoff to the right side and stiff-armed a San Diego defender near the 40-yard line.

After picking up nearly 20 more yards, Peterson shrugged off San Diego safety Eric Weddle before galloping into the end zone.

Peterson, who led the NFL with 1,485 yards and tied for the league lead with 11 rushing touchdowns, finished the day with 126 yards and two scores on the ground.
