Pro Bowl Voting Opens on

Pro Bowl voting is underway, and fans can cast their votes in an online balloting system here on

Fan balloting will conclude Dec. 15 for the 2016 Pro Bowl that is scheduled for Jan. 31. The game will be televised live on ESPN from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The game will continue to use the "unconferenced" format, with players who receive the most votes from fans, coaches and players being placed into a pool of candidates to be drafted by NFL Legends captains, Hall of Fame receivers Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice, as well as the players with the top four amounts of votes (two offense, two defense) and two fantasy football champions.

Irvin and Cris Carter were captains earlier this year. Rice and Deion Sanders were captains for the 2014 Pro Bowl, when this format was introduced.

Votes by fans, coaches and players carry one-third weight in building the 88 All-Star players who will be eligible for the Pro Bowl Draft, which will be televised Jan. 27. Here's a breakdown of the available roster spots:
