EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. —The Vikings are one of four teams heading into Week 14 that can win a division title and at least one home playoff game this weekend.
If Minnesota (10-2) wins at Carolina (8-4) on Sunday, the Vikings will claim their second NFC North crown in a three-season span.
Should the Panthers snap the Vikings eight-game win streak, however, Minnesota would need losses or ties by Detroit (6-6) at Tampa Bay (4-8) and Green Bay (6-6) at Cleveland (0-12) to claim the title this weekend.
Minnesota essentially needs one more victory or a tie in the final four games to win the division.
Philadelphia (10-2) is in the same position in the NFC East. The Eagles will play the Rams (9-3) Sunday. A win or tie, or a Cowboys loss or tie against the Raiders, secures the division for the Eagles. The Rams have one path to claiming a playoff berth this weekend with a win, depending on the results of five other games.
The Saints (9-3) visit the Falcons (7-5) Thursday night. New Orleans has six different paths to a postseason berth as early as this weekend, but all of them require winning in Atlanta.
Perennial AFC contenders New England (10-2) and Pittsburgh (10-2) can clinch the AFC East and AFC North, respectively, with wins or ties this weekend.
The Patriots are scheduled to play the Dolphins on Monday night, and the Steelers will host the Ravens on Sunday night.
A Buffalo loss or tie on Sunday against the Colts would also secure the division for New England, as well as a playoff berth for the Steelers.
Jacksonville is the only other AFC team that could clinch a playoff spot this weekend.
