MINNEAPOLIS — Justin Jefferson has become the fastest Vikings player to reach 100 receptions in team history.
Jefferson entered Minnesota's Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks with 99 through his first 18 games.
He reached the milestone on an 8-yard pass by Kirk Cousins in the first quarter Sunday.
Jefferson edged the previous record of 20 games that was set by Jermaine Wiggins and matched by Stefon Diggs.
The latest record for the second-year pro out of LSU joins a list of accomplishments in his first season that included an NFL Super Bowl-era rookie record of 1,400 receiving yards and franchise marks for receptions (88) and 100-yard games (seven) by a Vikings rookie.
Jefferson followed his 100th career reception with a 10-yard reception on Minnesota's next snap, helping set up a touchdown to Tyler Conklin to finish the Vikings first possession and tie the game at 7 with 6:37 remaining in the first quarter.
