MANKATO, Minn. — Everson Griffen is tough on opposing quarterbacks, running backs and left tackles.
And helmet cams during training camp practices.
Griffen was recently fitted with a helmet cam and mic'd up for a practice. Like always he went full-throttle.
The Vikings.com video captured several gems, particularly when Griffen, an alumni of Southern Cal, was giving former UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr grief about the rivalry between the Los Angeles schools.
"If you're part of UCLA, you're sorry. Point. Period. Blank," Griffen told Barr as his former Trojans teammate Rhett Ellison had a chuckle. "But like I said, I love you."
The helmet cam footage shows Griffen's explosiveness through drills and was still rolling for an incredible downward spiral after it was knocked from Griffen's helmet during contact with left tackle Matt Kalil.
Griffen recorded 10.5 sacks last season in earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl and has 22.5 sacks since becoming a starter in 2014.
