Bridgewater Makes Media Rounds at Super Bowl Festivities

Teddy Bridgewater has been making the media rounds this week at Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco.

Yet the Vikings quarterback easily wishes he was preparing for the title game instead of honing his interview skills.

"This is great for all of the players," Bridgewater said told Vikings.com's Scott Kegley in a Periscope interview. "It lets you know that you'd rather be playing in the game than out here doing all of these things.

"Hopefully we can continue to keep making strides in Minnesota."

Bridgewater did 10 interviews on Thursday with different national media shows and added a few more on Friday.

"It was very tiring," Bridgewater said. "From the moment you wake up, it's time to go.

"It's a good opportunity with the different television networks. It's good to smile and talk to different hosts."

Bridgewater, who has had the chance to catch up with players such as fellow quarterback Matt Ryan of the Falcons, played in the Pro Bowl last Sunday.

Bridgewater, who threw for 3,231 yards and 14 touchdowns this season to help lead the Vikings to an NFC North title, said he's enjoyed the atmosphere in Northern California.

"It's nice," Bridgewater said. "Hawaii was nice, too. I just want to thank the fans for making that all possible. I had a great time out there."

Bridgewater projected a Panthers win on Sunday over the Broncos.

"Carolina is playing some good football right now," Bridgewater said. "It's hard to go against the favorites."

Bridgewater said he'll spend some time in Miami with his family before heading back to Winter Park to work out. He'll also attend the wedding of one of his favorite targets on the field, Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph.

But Bridgewater also peaked ahead to next season, adding that he can't wait to play at brand-new U.S. Bank Stadium.

Bridgewater had a message for the Minnesota faithful.

"Let's make that the loudest stadium in the league," he said.
