Barr To Have Knee Surgery, Miss Final 2 Games

Rookie LB Anthony Barr, who has missed the past two games due to a knee injury, will miss the rest of the season and have surgery on said knee, Head Coach Mike Zimmer announced on Friday.

Barr will finish his impressive rookie campaign with 70 combined tackles, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and of course the game-winning overtime touchdown during the week 8 win at Tampa Bay.

Zimmer said the procedure is relatively minor and that Barr should be good to go for the offseason program.

G Charlie Johnson (ankle) is also out for the Vikings, while TE Kyle Rudolph is doubtful due to ankle and knee injuries. S Robert Blanton is questionable with a ankle / knee injuries suffered in the Panthers win a few weeks ago that forced him to miss last Sunday's game vs. the Lions.

LB Chad Greenway (personal reason) and LS Cullen Loeffler (illness) both missed Friday's practice but Zimmer expects both to be fine for Sunday's game.

For the Dolphins of note, TE Charles Clay, who has 47 catches this season, is questionable due to a hamstring / knee issue that limited him in practice on Friday. Starting CB Cortland Finnegan (ankle) is also questionable after being limited in practice all three days this week.

Starting linebackers Jelani Jenkins (foot) and Koa Misi (hamstring / knee) didn't practice all week and are doubtful.
