• Notched 20 tackles in 2016 before landing on Injured Reserve for the last 7 games due to a ankle injury.

OFF THE FIELD His father, Mickey, played defensive back and punt returner for the Los Angeles Rams (1986-88, ‘90), the Green Bay Packers (1989) and the Buffalo Bills (1989).

PRO Prior to joining the Vikings, Sutton appeared in 36 games with 18 starts for the Bears (2014-16), recording 82 tackles, 5.5 TFLs and 7 pass breakups… Made NFL debut on Sept. 7, 2014 vs. Buffalo... Made 1st NFL start on Sept. 23, 2014 at the New York Jets.

2016 Played in 8 games while collecting 6 starts...Registered  season highs in total tackles (6) and solo tackles (5) at Dallas (9/25)...He followed that performance up with another 6-tackle game vs. Detroit (10/2)...Sutton finished the season with 20 tackles, 1 pass breakup and 1.0 TFL...Missed the last 7 games of the season on Injured Reserve after suffering an ankle injury.

COLLEGE  Only the 2nd player to be named Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year twice...Finished with 161 career tackles, including 45.5 for loss, good for 8th all-time at ASU...20.5 career sacks rank as the 7th most in school history...Saw action in 51 games, with 34 starts...In 2012, he and former teammate, Carl Bradford, became just the 1st duo in school history to post double-digit sacks in the same season since 1994…Combined with Bradford for 44 tackles for loss in 2012, the most for a duo in ASU history and the first duo to record 20+ TFLs since Al Harris (22) and Bob Kohrs (20) in 1978...Named the Mike Haynes Defensive MVP and earned the Frank Kush Captains Award at the 2013 team banquet.
