OFF THE FIELD Earned bachelor’s degree in managment in May 2011 and has done course work on a master’s degree in business, playing his senior season at Tulsa as a grad student...Father, Richard Holmes, was earned all-star honors as a RB with Ottawa in the Canadian Football League, also playing with Toronto and Winnipeg of the CFL and also played in the USFL...Was a Vikings fans as a youth in Ottawa.

PRO Spent 13 weeks during the 2012 regular season and the Wild Card playoff week on Vikings practice squad...Was drafted #7 in the 1st round of the CFL draft by Toronto.

2012 Following his release during final roster cuts after preseason, was signed by to Vikings practice squad....Released on 8/31, then signed to practice squad on 9/1...Spent 13 weeks on Vikings practice squad and the Wild Card playoff week...Spent training camp and preseason with Vikings...Joined Vikings on 5/14 as a rookie free agent.

COLLEGE Named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA as a junior and senior...Started all 13 games in his final 2 seasons...Played in 6 games in 2009 and missed 6 games with broken leg suffered in practice at mid-season...Returned from injury in the 9th game of the season...Opened all 14 games as a freshman in 2008, earning Freshman All-Conference USA honors.

PREP Standout at Merivale High in Ottawa, Ontario...Earned team and league MVP honors as a senior, playing multiple positions.
