COLLEGE:
- As a senior, Smith's rushing yardage dropped to 792, but he rushed for 15 touchdowns, eclipsing his career total to that point. His 15 rushing touchdowns were the most by a Florida State running back since Warrick Dunn had 16 in 1995, and led the ACC.
- As a junior, Smith became the Seminoles starter, rushing for 817 yards and catching 22 passes for 203 yards. Smith recorded back-to-back 100-yard games against Miami (FL) and Duke, and capped off his season with a 156-yard performance against Kentucky in the Music City Bowl.
- Smith was a reserve for his first two seasons at Florida State, racking up a combined 644 rushing yards in 2005 and 2006.

PREP:
- Smith graduated from Pahokee High School in Pahokee, FL after rushing for 2,814 yards and 44 touchdowns as a senior.
- Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 1 all-purpose back and the No. 25 overall recruit in the class of 2005.
- He chose Florida State on signing day in 2005, after also considering Miami (FL), Auburn and Florida.
