On Saturday the Vikings made several roster moves, including activating S Harrison Smith from the injured reserve, making him eligible to play during Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Smith suffered a turf toe injury during the Oct. 13 loss to the Panthers and has been out of action until this weekend, where he’ll presumably suit up and be in the lineup at Mall of America Field tomorrow.
Two of the other moves also deal with the secondary, as the team signed CB Robert Steeples off the practice squad and placed fellow CB Josh Robinson (chest) on injured reserve. With Robinson out this week, Xavier Rhodes (ankle) doubtful and Chris Cook (knee) questionable, the Vikings will need all the help they can at the cornerback spot against the Eagles’ high-powered offensive attack.
The Vikings also signed RB Joe Banyard to the active roster from the practice squad, as both Adrian Peterson (foot / groin) and Toby Gerhart (hamstring) figure to be game-time decisions on Sunday.
T Mike Remmers was placed on waivers to help make room on the 53-man roster.
