Tale of the Tape: Jared Allen vs. Joe Thomas

Posted Sep 18, 2013

A marquee matchup in Sunday’s Vikings-Browns game will be Vikings DE Jared Allen against Browns LT Joe Thomas. In a pass-happy league, talent and production from the left tackle and right defensive end position are at a premium, and with Allen and Thomas the Vikings and Browns have each hit the jackpot.

Together, Allen and Thomas have earned 11 Pro Bowls berths and 7 First-Team All-Pro honors. Allen has had double-digit sacks every season since 2007 and no player has more sacks than Allen’s 119.0 since 2004, while Thomas has been a Pro Bowler every season of his career and has never missed an offensive snap for the Browns.
