Five Cool Cordarrelle Patterson Stats

Posted Feb 12, 2014

Patterson was the last of three first-round selections by the Vikings in 2013. It took shrewd maneuvering by the Vikings front office to get Patterson in purple, but all the work and resources required to do so paid off in spades during his rookie season.

Here are five “flashy” Cordarrelle Patterson stats from his debut season…

1. He Runs, He Receives, He Returns
Patterson is the first player in NFL history to produce 4 receiving TDs, 3 rushing TDs and 2 kickoff return TDs in a single season.

2. Not So “Average”
Patterson’s 32.4-yard kickoff return average is the 4th-best in NFL history since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

3. The Longest Play
Against Green Bay in 12, Patterson set a NFL record with a 109-yard kickoff return touchdown. The play also ties Antonio Cromartie (109-yard missed FG return) for the longest play in NFL history.

4. What a Rush!
Patterson’s 50-yard touchdown run against Detroit in Week 17 is the longest scoring rush by a Vikings WR in team history.

5. Flash’ Franchise Best
Patterson broke a franchise record with 1,393 kickoff return yards in 2013.
