In addition to their “Greatest Uniform in NFL History” tournament – in which you can vote for both the Vikings current and old school uniform sets here– our friends at have drummed up another good talker: which NFL division would have the best all-star team?’s Dave Dameshek took this question head-on and gave his full breakdown of each division’s team and also ranked the divisions 1-8.  You can view his full division-by-division breakdown here, but on, we are of course focused on the NFC North.

Dameshek ranked the NFC North second to only the loaded NFC West, who – according to Dameshek – got the edge due to “a shutdown defense and a rugged offensive line.”  When it comes to the NFC North’s high ranking, Dameshek credits the division having the best QB, RB, and WR in the NFL, along with an all-world pass rush. Here’s is his All-NFC North team:

Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers
Running back: Adrian Peterson
Wide receivers: Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Greg Jennings
Tight end: Kyle Rudolph
Offensive tackles: Jermon Bushrod, Matt Kalil
Guards: Brandon Fusco, T.J. Lang
Center: John Sullivan

Defensive ends: Jared Allen, Julius Peppers
Defensive tackles: Ndamukong Suh, Henry Melton
Outside linebackers: Clay Matthews, Chad Greenway
Inside linebacker: Stephen Tulloch
Cornerback: “Peanut” Tillman, Sam Shields
Safeties: Harrison Smith, Glover Quin

And the breakdown by team:
Bears: 5
Lions: 4
Packers: 4
Vikings: 9

As you can see, the Vikings are the runaway winners for most players on the team within the NFC North.  For all the divisions, only three teams (Texans, Chiefs and 49ers) had more than nine players on any given All-Division team.

So Vikings fans, what do you think?  Any glaring omissions from your favorite team that should be on this list?  Any others players from the division that should / shouldn't be on the team?
