Posted May 21, 2014

The Vikings signed two more of their 2014 Draft picks on Wednesday, with both LB Anthony Barr (1st round, No. 9 overall) and S Antone Exum (6th round, No. 182 overall) inking their rookie deals.

Barr was drafted by the Vikings in the 1st round (#9 overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft. In his first season at outside linebacker in 2012, Barr received All-American and All-Pac-12 honors with 13.5 sacks and 21.5 TFLs. As a senior, he was a finalist for the Butkus (top LB), Lombardi (best DL or LB) and Bednarik (best defensive player) Awards in addition to being named a consensus All-American. In his final 2 seasons, he totaled 151 tackles, 40.5 TFLs, 23.5 sacks, 9 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries.
Exum (an-TONE), a Vikings 6th-round (#182 overall) selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, started 35-of-44 during his collegiate career at Virginia Tech. Exum was a 2nd-team All-ACC selection in 2012 after recording a career-high 5 INTs. For his efforts in Virginia Tech’s Russell Athletic Bowl victory over Rutgers, Exum was named the game’s MVP. He appeared in just 3 games during the 2013 season due to injury.

The only two picks who have not signed yet are third rounders DE Scott Crichton and RB Jerick McKinnon.
