Sapp is coming off a career year in which he was a key component in the Vikings run to the NFC Championship Game. He started a career-best 7 games, including a 6-game stretch where he filled in admirably for injured starter ![]()
The former Northern Iowa standout joined the Vikings as an unrestricted free agent from Kansas City in 2008 and immediately contributed to Minnesota’s defense in his first season with the team, producing a career-best 2 interceptions, starting 5 games and serving as the team’s nickel back in the second half of the season.
