Eden Prairie, MN (September 7, 2010) – The Minnesota Vikings are encouraging all fans to show their support by wearing purple or Vikings attire when the team kicks off the 2010 season this Thursday, September 9, with a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game.
Thursday’s nationally-televised game against the New Orleans Saints marks the opening of the Vikings 50th season in the NFL, a year in which the team will celebrate the history of the franchise with various elements throughout the season. As part of that celebration, the Vikings will continue the “Purple Friday” theme that began in 2008.
