Vikings, TCO Team Up To Give Turkeys To Construction Workers

The Vikings and Twin Cities Orthopedics kicked off the holiday season by providing turkeys to all of the construction workers on site at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center earlier today.

With the help of Hy-Vee, nearly 500 turkeys were provided to all of the workers on the 200-acre Viking Lakes site in Eagan. The workers on-site are working under the leadership of Kraus Anderson and are involved in a number of phases of the Vikings new facility and the Viking Lakes development.

Leaders from the Vikings and Twin Cities Orthopedics had help passing out turkeys from an early-arriving Santa Claus.

“It’s a chance for us with Thanksgiving coming up to say thanks to the workers that are putting a lot of hard time and work into our practice facility,” Vikings Executive Vice President and CFO Steve Poppen said at the turkey distribution.

“We’ve got a magnificent building going up right now by a lot of laborers that have been working very hard to help us complete this task,” Poppen added. “We’re very thankful for them and the partnerships that we’ve formed with all of the subcontractors and Kraus Anderson and all the work they’ve been doing to make this come alive for us.”

Twin Cities Orthopedics Board of Directors Get Their First Look Inside TCO Performance Center

Earlier this week, the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center Board of Directors got its first look inside the new Vikings practice facility that bears their company’s name. The partnership between the Vikings and Twin Cities Orthopedics for the naming rights of the team headquarters in Eagan was officially announced during the groundbreaking ceremony on Aug. 2, 2016.

“The campus is amazing and exceeds all our expectations,” TCO Board of Directors President Dr. David C. Holte said. “The thought and creativity that has gone into its design is second to none.  There is a definite wow factor.  The campus will provide exceptional versatility for both professional and community athletic programs while at the same time providing comprehensive world class orthopedic and sports medicine services.”

“We are incredibly proud to be a partner with the Vikings Organization and the Eagan community in this development.”
