Three Games vs. NFC West Highlight Preseason Schedule

Posted Mar 31, 2010

During Minnesota’s memorable 2009 season, the team won three of four games against members of the NFC West.  And now, in preparation for the upcoming regular season, the Vikings will take on three of the NFC West’s four members during the 2010 preseason.  Minnesota’s fourth preseason game will come against the AFC West’s Denver Broncos.

Minnesota’s first preseason game will come in St. Louis against the Rams, who the Vikings topped by a 38-10 score during week five of the 2009 season.  This game will occur on either Friday, Aug. 13 or Saturday, Aug. 14, and the time of said game is still up in the air.

Then, after a brief stint back in Mankato at Training Camp, the Purple will head west for a nationally televised matchup against the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park.  The game, which will air in the Twin Cities on KARE 11 and across the nation on NBC, will take place on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. CST.

The Vikings will then return home for a pair of games at Mall of America Field, starting with a week 11 rematch from 2009 against the Seattle Seahawks on either Friday, Aug. 27 or Saturday, Aug. 28.

Finally, the preseason will wrap up on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Mall of America Field as the Vikings host the Denver Broncos, who won the last matchup between these two teams during week 17 of the 2007 season by a 22-19 score in overtime.
