Thielen Finishes 29th Out of 89 Celebrity Golfers at American Century Championship

Adam Thielen held his own with some of the top celebrity golfers in the American Century Championship at Edgeood Tahoe Golf Club.

The Vikings wide receiver competed against the likes of Stephen Curry, Justin Timberlake, Charles Barkley, Marshall Faulk, John Elway, Greg Maddux, and many other celebrities in the competition.

Thielen had an impressive weekend and finished in 29th place out of 89 celebrity golfers.

Thielen was grouped with several NFL peers throughout the weekend. He played with fellow wideouts Golden Tate of the Detroit Lions and fomer Pittsburgh Steeler Hines Ward on Friday and Philadelhia Eagles Head Coach Doug Petersen on Saturday.

Former MLB pitcher Mark Mulder came out as the winner of the tournament for the third straight year.

Thielen even gave the fans a peek at the golf clubs he used in the tournament.

Vikings retired defensive end Jared Allen also participated and finished tied for 57th place.

The tournament raised money for the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, a non-profit research organization dedicated to improving human health through innovative study of diseases such as cancer.
