Sam Bradford Ruled Out For Week 3 Against Buccaneers

Posted Sep 22, 2017

Sam Bradford will miss his second consecutive game on Sunday, Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer announced during his press conference following Friday’s practice. After being limited on Wednesday and Thursday, Bradford missed practice on Friday.

Coach Zimmer didn’t put a timetable on Bradford’s return, stating that the only game decided on was Sunday.

“I tell you I don’t have a crystal ball, I have no idea,” Zimmer said. “All I know is about this week.”

No other Vikings appear on this week’s final injury report.

Mackensie Alexander (wrist), Anthony Barr (hamstring), Pat Elflein (ankle) and Xavier Rhodes (hip) were all listed on the report throughout the week but are not listed on the final injury report. Teams are no longer required to designate players as “probable” for games. The other options for players’ status are questionable, doubtful or out.

For Tampa Bay, they will be missing two starters on defense. LB Kwon Alexander (hamstring) and DT Chris Baker (illness) have both been ruled out after missing all three practices this week. DE Jacquies Smith (illness), who was inactive last week against Chicago, has also been ruled out.

CB Brent Grimes (shoulder) was limited all week and is listed as questionable. LB Devante Bond (knee) was a full participant in practice this week and not listed on the final injury report.
