On Friday Head Coach Leslie Frazier said he was “encouraged” by Adrian Peterson’s progress in practice this week and that he would be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals.
“We’ll see how he feels tomorrow [Saturday],” said Frazier regarding Peterson. “We didn’t have him do every rep but he did enough to where he would feel confident. It was encouraging.”
Fellow running back Matt Asiata, who injured his ankle last Sunday vs. the Eagles, will also be listed as questionable, while Toby Gerhart (hamstring) is probable after practicing in full on Friday.
CB Xavier Rhodes (ankle) tried to practice this week but could not so he will miss his second-straight game after getting hurt in the loss to the Ravens two weeks ago. TE John Carlson suffered a concussion in that game and missed Sunday’s game vs. the Eagles. He was able to practice on Wednesday but the symptoms returned forcing him to miss practice the rest of the week and he’s doubtful for Sunday.
In addition to Gerhart, the following players practiced in full on Friday and are probable for Sunday’s game in Cincinnati: CB Chris Cook (knee), G Brandon Fusco (knee), S Harrison Smith (toe), LB Larry Dean (knee), LB Chad Greenway (wrist), LS Cullen Loeffler (hand), and CB Marcus Sherels.
We’ll update this post with the Bengals’ final injury report later today.
