Peterson, Gerhart Both Questionable For Sunday

Posted Dec 13, 2013

On Friday Head Coach Leslie Frazier announced that both Adrian Peterson (foot / groin) and Toby Gerhart (hamstring) are listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week, with both likely being game-time decisions come Sunday.

“Adrian did some good things,” Frazier said of Peterson’s performance during Friday’s practice, who said how both Peterson and Gerhart feel on Saturday will help determine their status for Sunday. Should one or neither be able to go, RB Matt Asiata, a special teams standout, would likely see extended playing time.

Regarding Peterson, Frazier said “He is so different than everybody else when it comes to recovering from injuries. He’s amazing.”

The Vikings ruled out TE John Carlson (concussion) and CB Josh Robinson (chest) as neither man practiced all week. G Brandon Fusco (knee) and CB Xavier Rhodes (ankle) are both doubtful for the game due to injuries suffered last week vs. the Ravens.

A third cornerback was added to the injury report on Friday as Chris Cook was limited in practice due to a knee issue, and he is questionable for Sunday’s game.

Linebackers Larry Dean (knee) and Chad Greenway (wrist) are both probable and practiced fully on Friday.
