Early in the second quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Ravens,
After the game, Head Coach Leslie Frazier announced that Peterson suffered a sprained right foot and that he'd undergo an MRI back in Minnesota on Monday.
"I really don't know too much about it. I'll find out more after I get my MRI done, but yeah, a mid-foot sprain," said Peterson. "I haven't seen the replay, but my foot was extended and kind of got rolled up, kind of like a horse-collar tackle type. I just felt it pop a couple times and the pain was excruciating. I came in and tried to tape it up again after getting the X-ray done. I just couldn't do it with the push off."
Up to that point Peterson, the NFL's leading rushing coming into play this week, had gone for just 13 yards on seven carries in the sloppy conditions here in Baltimore.
