With just 20 games remaining on the Metrodome lease, the Vikings are aggressively pursuing a new stadium for the fans, for the State of Minnesota and for the team. The Vikings understand and respect the many challenges facing the legislature, but the team believes 2010 is the best year to address a new stadium: interest rates and construction costs are down significantly from previous years and this project will spur economic development and add 7,500 construction jobs at a critical time for the State’s economy. While less than three weeks remain in the 2010 Legislative Session, the Vikings are confident a stadium solution will be found this year. But the team cannot do it without fan support. In an effort to give you the latest on the stadium issue, Vikings Vice President of Public Affairs and Stadium Development Lester Bagley recently answered fan questions regarding the on-going discussions about a new Vikings stadium.
