March Madness is nearing its climax as the Final Four is only a few days away, but with the NFL draft still a few weeks out Mock Madness remains in full swing. The first 2 editions of Mock Madness have already been unveiled, so now it’s time to roll out Mock Madness 3.0 and see if anyone has added a new twist to their mock draft.
Without further ado, here is Mock Madness 3.0!
CBSsports.com – Chad Reuter
A new name has been added to the mix for Vikings fans, as Reuter foresees CB Kareem Jackson as the selection at #30. Jackson measures in at 5-11, 196 pounds and played college football at Alabama. His size seems like a nice fit in the Vikings defense and he played under a defensive-minded coach – Nick Saban – at Alabama.
The other CBSsports.com guys haven’t changed their picks from last week. Here they are:
Rob Rang – Boise State CB Kyle Wilson
Pete Prisco – Rutgers CB Devin McCourty
Clark Judge – Wilson
Nationalfootballpost.com – Wes Bunting
With so many of the prognosticators having not updated their mock drafts since last week, we found a new expert to add to the mix. Bunting, though, agrees with Chad Reuter of CBSsports.com and projects Jackson as the Vikings pick at #30. Here’s what Bunting has to say about Jackson: “Jackson is a smooth, coordinated defensive back with a nose for the football and is an ideal fit in the Vikings’ Cover 2 defense.”
NFL.com – Pat Kirwan
Kirwan hasn’t updated his mock draft since last week, so there is no change to his projection of CB Patrick Robinson being the Vikings selection next month. Kirwan says that with DT
Non-updated mock draft projections:
Don Banks (SI.com): DT Jared Odrick
Bucky Brooks (NFL.com): CB Devin McCourty
Charles Davis (NFL.com): S Taylor Mays
Clark Judge (CBSsports.com): CB Kyle Wilson
Mel Kiper, Jr. (ESPN.com): McCourty
Todd McShay (ESPN.com): DT Brian Price
Pete Prisco (CBSsports.com): McCourty
Rob Rang (CBSsports.com): Wilson
