It’s already Week 13 and the MVC have been keeping busy this fall! Between home games, these 35 women found many performance opportunities off the field. They were privileged to observe and share routines at local dance shows in the Coon Rapids and Elk River communities. They also showcased all of their 2011 routines at the annual Holiday Show at Mall of America on November 21st.
The MVC recently sent cheering sections to both the Twin Cities and Mankato Marathons. They rose before the sun to support running enthusiasts unfazed by the morning chill. Even as temperatures dropped, the MVC were proud to see such high spirits at the finish line. Great job Minnesota!
The MVC particularly enjoyed spending time at recent animal-oriented events. The Can Do Canines invited Andrea & Mollie to be celebrity dog-tini shakers at their Fetching Ball Gala. Proceeds helped to train and provide assistance dogs free of charge to people in need. Ali & I headed south to Good Thunder to attend a fundraising event for Misfit Acres, which provides a safe home for neglected or abused horses. We were thrilled to see that so many families and even our equine friend pictured above had donned purple and gold for our visit!
Another highlight of the fall was the annual Taste of the NFL held at Nickelodeon Universe. Meghan, Andrea, Blair & Saral mingled with fans as they sampled the best food from across the Twin Cities in support of the Vikings Children’s Fund Summer Lunch Program.
