The MVC have spent a lot of time this year visiting and performing for the troops, both overseas, as well as nationally across the U.S. Trips overseas included Diego Garcia (one trip the beginning of 2011, and another in June), Kuwait, and Japan. In addition to those, Peyton, our Pro Bowl Cheerleader, will be traveling to Guam following the Pro Bowl, and Rachel, our 8 year veteran, will be on her way to Australia this spring. Girls also visited military bases in South Dakota, California, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Montana. Most recently, Melissa, Kristina, and Ali M traveled to Washington DC to put on a show (Christmas Concert for the Troops) with the Beach Boys. Ali A will be joining forces with girls from other NFL teams, and traveling to Alaska in January. Military trips are always a highlight for the MVC to be a part of. Depending on the base being visited, the MVC will usually put on an hour long show (if overseas), do meet and greets/take pictures with the troops, and visit the various departments on the base/fort/island. Anytime we can bring a piece of home to the men and women serving our country, we feel honored and privileged. It’s an amazing experience to be able to meet so many wonderful people, and as excited as they are to have us there, we are equally, if not more, excited to be sharing in an important part of their lives.
