MVC Hold Year-End Banquet

Posted Feb 20, 2012

The 2011-2012 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders closed their season by gathering together for their year- end banquet on February 11, 2012. The banquet is a time for reflection on a memorable season as well as an opportunity to recognize those who have contributed something extra special to the team and MVC organization. The evening is always a much anticipated event for MVC cheerleaders, and staff for connecting with each other during the offseason.

This year the banquet was held at a fabulous location in Bloomington, MN and MVC members put on their red carpet dresses to gear up for an evening of fun and friendship. The MVC banquet kicked off with a highlight video wonderfully produced by Ted Kopacek and Chad Ryburn. The video was filled with footage from games, various appearances, team bonding experiences, and even some amusing outtakes. It was enlightening to see our team captured in more than 400 community appearances, trips  to entertain troops in places such as Kuwait, Japan, Kosovo and Alaska, Pro bowl footage, and game day performances, all condensed into one incredible season .  Next, speeches were given by a member of each small team about their dedicated captains. The captains in turn conveyed heartfelt and humorous comments about each of their small team members. This year a surprise performance created by various veterans captured our captains signature choreography moves and honored them for their leadership skills. There were often tears of happiness for a season with so many amazing moments and tears of sadness as the season comes to a close.

Finally head coach Tami Krause as well as assistant coaches Theresa Baugus and Brianna Stepanek shared inspirational words about the team and lifelong lessons learned.  She then presented awards that were voted on by the team prior to the banquet.  The following awards were presented:
