One thing that makes being a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader so special is the legacy of cheerleaders that have cheered on the sidelines before you. These talented women share a passion for dancing, the Minnesota Vikings, and have created lifelong friendships with their MVC teammates. One way that many MVC alums stay connected and involved with the Vikes is by joining the A*Team, an alumni performance group that gets together weekly to practice, reconnect, stay active, and have fun.
This year the A*Team is in its 5th season and boasts 16 fabulous MVC alums. A*Team coach Heather says, “One of the best parts about A*Team is getting to know MVC alumni from other decades!” This year the team has members that range from the 1985 season through the 2009 season. The A*Team performs prior to every home game out on the plaza, once pre-game on the field with the MVC, once during a quarter break in the end zone with the MVC, and also at the annual Holiday Show at the Mall of America (coming up November 21). The MVC, both alumni and current members, would agree that one of the greatest and most rewarding aspects of being on the team is being surrounded by a group of lifelong friends who support each other in all aspects of life!
