has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 3-TD, 271-yard performance on Monday Night Football against Green Bay. The honor is the 14th time in Favre’s career he has been named either NFC or AFC Offensive Player of the Week. He was NFC Offensive Player of the Week 11 times as a Packer and earned the AFC award 2 times in 2008 with the Jets.
Favre is the 11th Vikings player since 2006 to earn an NFC Player of the Week award and marks the 3rd straight game a Vikings player has been named an NFC Player of the Week in 2009.
