
Game Summary
The Minnesota Vikings (11-4) will close out the 2009 regular season against the New York Giants (8-7) this Sunday, January 3. Kickoff at Mall of America Field is set for noon.
This will be the 2nd-consecutive year the Vikings have played their final game of the regular season against the Giants at home. Last year Minnesota defeated the Giants 20-19 on a last-second field goal to clinch the NFC North division championship.
The Vikings currently hold a 13-10-0 lead in the overall series between the two teams. Minnesota has won the last 3 matchups, dating back to 2005, and are 5-4 against the Giants at home. Head Coach Brad Childress is 2-0 against New York since taking over in 2006.
